Being in SCORE, the No. 1 big-boob magazine in the world for 20-plus years, is a big event in the life of every model, but for Deena Duos, it was her return to the mag that was special. By the time Deena returned in July 2007, she had already been a covergirl once (May '93) after debuting in the November '92 issue and was a SCORE legend. We thought her career had ended with her appearance in the May '96 issue, but Deena had other ideas.
"I had stepped out of modeling for a while because I had put on a lot of weight," Deena told me by phone from Las Vegas, Nevada, where she was living in 2007. This is a very sensitive issue for me. I lost 88 pounds, and I didn't have my life, and now I have my life back, and it's wonderful. I'm overwhelmed to be here. Being a SCORE Girl again is a dream come true."
But for more than three years, Deena had been living a nightmare. Having been a superstar for so long, she was no longer on anybody's "wanted" list. In fact, most people didn't even know she still was interested in modeling.
"The worst reaction was that my phone wasn't ringing, and that broke my heart," she said. "I felt that a lot of my fans had disappeared because I had gotten heavy, and that part was hard for me to deal with. I understood, but on the same level, I had thought everybody would be there for me through the great times and tough times, and that wasn't the case."
Deena reappeared almost out of nowhere. Having lost weight, she gave us a call and said she wanted to model again. Of course, we were skeptical. Deena wasn't the first model to call us years after she had seemingly retired, wanting to model again. But then she sent us some pictures of herself, and when we saw them, we were immediately convinced that we had to get her into our studio as quickly as possible. As this video and the photos prove, it was a very good decision.
While talking to Deena, I quickly realized something about her. She's not the kind of woman who would be satisfied with big boobs. She wanted HUGE boobs. She's not the kind of woman who would put on a little weight. She would put on a LOT of weight. I realized this when she told me she was a high-stakes gambler who had won some $10,000 jackpots. Of course. Deena does things at full-throttle. Not a little of this, a little of that. A LOT of this and that.
"I go all the way, which is good and bad sometimes," she said. "I guess I live a little dangerously. I like to take it to the top. My boobs, my animals. The same thing goes with my weight gain. I didn't just gain a few pounds. I gained a lot of pounds. But there was no way I was going to let myself go all the way. I had to do something about it. I'm just a woman who doesn't give up on life, I guess. I'm a fighter, baby."
